چکیده
Thermal efficiency and power density improvement are the main research foci of literature on diesel engines. The Miller cycle is considered to be one most promising methods engine operation. In this study, a fully variable valve timing lift mechanism (CD-HFVVS) was studied determine possibility Firstly, seat impact buffer in tested, which proved that can effectively eliminate impact. Then influences different speeds oil temperatures were studied. results show opening duration prolonged when speed increases, reduced while temperature increased. adjusted by changing discharge position initial plunger position, further proves CD-HFVVS achieve performance optimization cycle. By using mechanism, single cylinder test performed. inlet timing, fuel improved peak pressure in-cylinder average both suppressed.

A computational optimization was performed for a direct-injection diesel engine using three-dimensional modeling. Fully transient CFD analyses of different valve profile strategies for the intake and compression strokes were performed to evaluate the effects on both engine performance and in-cylinder flow-field evolution. The turbulence model was used along with the second order linear upwin...
متن کاملEmission Reduction Strategies for Small Single Cylinder Diesel Engine Using Valve Timing and Swirl Ratio
Small diesel engines are widely used for commercial vehicle and passenger car applications due to their higher torque requirements, fuel economy, and better thermal efficiency. These engines are exposed to different operating and environmental conditions and hence emissions from these engines are erratic. Strategies are required to enhance performance and reduce engine-out emissions considering...
متن کاملA comparison of different network based modeling methods for prediction of the torque of a SI engine equipped with variable valve timing
Nowadays, due to increasing the complexity of IC engines, calibration task becomes more severe and the need to use surrogate models for investigating of the engine behavior arises. Accordingly, many black box modeling approaches have been used in this context among which network based models are of the most powerful approaches thanks to their flexible structures. In this paper four network base...
